NYC and the surrounding region salt heavily. By late February, the underside of any vehicle that's been driven on highways is coated in brine. The corrosion attacks brake lines, fuel lines, and rear suspension components.
Spray the underside with a high-pressure hose at a coin wash twice a winter — at minimum after every storm cycle. Pay attention to wheel wells and behind the bumper covers where salt accumulates.
If a brake line bursts (telltale: pedal sinks to the floor, fluid puddle under the rear wheel), stop driving and call for a flatbed tow. We tow to your shop at $249 / hour, same hourly rate as every other service.
