Electric drivetrains often can't freewheel without power, especially on Teslas (in-wheel motors), Rivians (lock when battery is depleted), and most newer EVs. Dragging a non-freewheel EV destroys the motor.
Tesla specifically has a 'tow mode' that has to be enabled from the touchscreen before loading. A trained operator knows how to do this; a generic tow driver may not.
All EV transport is flatbed at our $249 / hour rate. Authorized service center drop is the standard destination — Tesla Service, Rivian Service, Lucid Service. Manufacturer roadside coverage reimburses most tows.
