Most NYC residential garages cap at 6'6" or 7'. A standard flatbed truck is too tall to enter. Our wheel-lift trucks clear most of those garages, but the dispatcher will confirm before sending.
Know your building's posted height limit (usually on a sign at the entrance). If you don't know, walk down and check before calling. A truck that arrives and can't enter still bills the dispatch time.
Same $249 / hour rate. If the dispatcher knows the height up front, we send the right truck and avoid the wasted trip.
