NYC DCWP caps private-property tow hookup fees at $99 and storage at $25 per day starting day 2. Total redemption for a same-day pickup at a private lot should never exceed $99.
If you're charged above the cap, document and dispute. File 311 / DCWP complaint. Pay under protest, get the itemized receipt, then go after recovery.
These caps apply only to private-property tows (you parked in an unauthorized lot). Customer-requested tows (you called for service) are different — our $99/hr rate is for customer-initiated work.
